This series consists of 8 Awareness Through Movement lessons with an emphasis on improving the function of the spine / back. Learn how to use your entire spine as an integrated whole and translate the learning to improved sitting, walking, running, skiing, etc. Each week a new Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement™ lesson will be presented that will highlight aspects of dynamic, effortless posture. Over the course of 8 weeks you will develop a kinesthetic understanding of how to support yourself easily in gravity.

Hip discomfort can be exacerbated by inflexible ankles, knee pain can be related to stiff feet and even shoulder pain can be a result of poor organization in our lower half. Well organized legs provide a basis of support for walking, running, sitting, standing as well as light, easy movements with the arms and upper half of the body.

Begin your day with an Awareness Through Movement™ lesson that will engage your brain and your body. This series will utilize circular movement to reveal habitual use patterns and expand the range of movement throughout the body. We will travel from head to toe (or toe to head) as we rotate and move in circles in feet, hips, pelvis, spine, shoulders, head, eyes and more! Take some time for yourself first thing in the morning and savor the lasting effects throughout the day!
Group classes are also offered in a workshop format.
